Organization

The LIVE Consortium has been structured to ensure that the highest level of academic excellence is delivered to LIVE students. Below you can find a diagram outlining the organization of the LIVE Consortium.

The Associated Partners (AP) of the LIVE network support the study programme and assist in the dissemination, promotion, implementation, evaluation and sustainable development of the master programme. They provide in particular internship opportunities for the fourth semester and professional tutorship of the candidates in collaboration with the academic tutor. See here for more details on our partners.

The Eligibility Committee (EliC) consists of the LIVE project Assistant, the two Selection Managers from UAB-UB, chairing Elic and a number of recruited administrative staff related to the number of submitted applications on MyLIVE, the online application system. The EliC members jointly perform the online administrative eligibility of the submitted files, according to the guidelines and legal rules of the FP universities.

The Coordinator of the LIVE programme is Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (UCBL). It is responsible for the general administrative, legal and financial oversight of the programme.

The Academic & Management Board (AMB) is the decision-making body in charge of the timely and effective management of all aspects of the programme, including academic, scientific and administrative aspects such as recruitment campaign and selection process and checking the timely progress of the EMJM LIVE programme. The AMB consists of all five members of the Steering Committee, one representative of each of the 5 categories of associated partners, maximum three representatives of the funding associated partners, and one student representative elected by the LIVE students.

All Full Partners (FP) contribute directly and structurally to the implementation of the master by selecting and hosting eligible candidates and providing educational modules, as well as general support for installation and obtaining visa in the country, as specified in study programme and student agreement. The main partners are the five organizing universities delivering credits to the students: UAB, UB, UAntwerpen, UJM and UCBL.

The Quality Assurance Committees (I-QAC, E-QAC) consists of two committees of five members. I-QAC composed of two student representatives, two teaching unit heads and the QA manager is the internal QAC responsible for a continuous assessment of all processes in the LIVE programme (academic evaluation, resources, student services, etc) and for the publication of the quality controls synthesis. E-QAC composed of two external peer-review experts outside the LIVE partnership, one representative of MP, one representative of AP and the student representative of the AMB is the external QAC responsible for performing a quality monitoring and providing report to the AMB for the Master cohort. Members of the QACs are appointed by SC.

The Steering Committee (SC) is composed of five members, one Local coordinator from each of the five Full Partners. It is the executive body for all study programme decisions, including budget aspects. It organizes the election of the representative partners for the academic and management board (AMB), chooses the members of the quality assurance committees (Internal and external), ensures the secretariat of the AMB, prepares reports and executes the AMB decisions. It also advises the AMB and proposes points for decisions.
