Mrs Colonna, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mrs Retailleau, Minister of Higher Education and Research, and Mr Rousseau, Minister of Health and Prevention, presented on Oct 12, 2023, from the International Center for Cancer Research (IARC) in Lyon, the new French global health strategy for the period 2023-2027, in the presence of Dr. Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO). The event was coupled to the celebration of the 75 years of the WHO. On its stand, the university of Lyon 1 presentedSHAPE-Med@Lyon, to foster “one health” research, SIMULYon platform dedicated to health simulation, 1-year French Master Santé Mondiale and the 2-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s degree LIVE, which selects excellent students from around the world to prepare them to become vaccinologistswithin large multinationals and health or research organizations. On this occasion, the three ministers visited the site of the future WHO Academy, of which France is the main financier, and which will constitute, when it opens in 2024, the reference center for continuing education of healthcare professionals from around the world.
