In 2018 I joined the Montagu promotion of the Master LIVE. When I first started the program, I was not aware of all that it would have to offer, and it didn’t take long for my expectations to be far exceeded.
Throughout the program, we had the opportunity to visit a variety of pharmaceutical companies and network with many professionals working in the field. Personally, this provided me with a valuable perspective on working in the sector, which helped me establish the professional path that I wanted to take.
Without a doubt, each of the four semesters presents its own challenges. Each one lets you explore a different aspect of vaccinology while also allowing you to build unique talents and expertise. The day-to-day experience also teaches you valuable skills in task management, prioritization, and organization.
I consider that the most valuable aspect of the Master are the people. To this day, I am still amazed by all the friendships that I was able to build. Even after graduation, it still feels like a tightly knit network of vaccinologists. Interacting with people from such diverse backgrounds offers an array of benefits, such as acquiring new perspectives and broadening our understanding of other cultures.
Overall, it was without a doubt one of the best choices that I’d ever made, both on a professional, as well as a personal level. Despite all its challenges, I can fully recommend it!
